Old Spanish Trail Agency Partners

Our Trail Partners

The National Park Service and the Bureau of Land Management jointly administer the Historic Trail. The Old Spanish Trail Association (OSTA) has the honor of being the primary non-federal partner in development and interpretation of this Historic Trail.

OSTA's mission is to promote public awareness and the multicultural heritage of the Historic Trail by encouraging research, publication and partnering with governments and private organizations. Even though we are just beginning the planning process, OSTA is already working with nearly 40 "Trail Affiliates" who are displaying OSTA mini-exhibits and distributing interpretive information about the trail to the public.

Look for trail information at a variety of museums, libraries, businesses, and visitor centers along the trail routes. Partnerships such as these will provide a vital sources of information for tourists who seek to follow the trail. Ask at these facilities if they have have public interpretive programs and demonstrations.
