On-Line Conference Registration
Conference registration discounts are available to OSTA members and students.
If you are not currently an OSTA member, you can sign up now at a special conference rate and then register for the conference as on OSTA member for additonal savings.
Regular OSTA memberships are $25.00 individual and $30.00 per family per year. Membership includes three issues of Spanish Traces, the OSTA’s periodical of technical papers, news, book reviews, local chapter information, and updates pertaining to the Old Spanish National Historic Trail.

IMPORTANT CONFERENCE REGISTRATION REMINDER
Registration Deadlines:
Mail-in registrations must be received by June 1st, 2012;
The online
registrations deadline is June 8th, 2012.
Walk-in registrations will be taken at the conference site on June 15th-16th.
The June 14th opening night reception at Fish Lake Lodge (no charge) and the field trips are only available to those who have registered and paid in advance.
If you have registered for one of the Field Trip tours, you must sign an OSTA Waiver of Responsibility form prior to the tour. The form is included in the mail-in registration materials.

How to Register On Line—Simple as 1, 2, 3…
1. Pay On Line by Credit Card
This system allows you to bill your payment to a Visa card, Mastercard, or to a PayPal account. You DO NOT need a PayPal account to register.
You will enter your choices under each of five Menu items below (Conference Registration; Thursday Reception; Friday Dutch Oven Dinner and concert; Saturday Dinner at Frontier Village and Field Trip Options.)
2. How to Select Your Registration Choices
- For Conference Registration go to the first “drop down” menu. Pull down the menu and select the type of registration you wish, for example: Full Registration – OSTA Member Discount $40.
- Click “Add to Cart.” You will be taken to the Shopping Cart page where you will see your entry.
- Click Continue Shopping to return to the Menu options.
- Once back at the Menu page, you may enter additional Registrations or move to the next Menu option, “Thursday Reception.” Proceed in this manner to enter your choices for all five Menu categories.
- To register two persons when viewing the Shopping Cart simply replace the Quantity of “1” with “2” for each conference offering and click Update.
- Please note that all FREE events will be charged $0.01 for processing purposes.
3. Checkout and Payment
- Once you have made all your registration selections (Type of Registration, Thursday reception, etc), inspect your Shopping Cart to be sure it accurately records your choices.
- Follow the on-screen instructions. Select your method of Check Out.
- You will reach the screen, “Review your Information.”
- On the “Review your Information” screen of Check Out, click on Add Special Instructions to Seller.
- When the new Instructions box opens...type the names of each person you are registering. Also, type in a phone number where OSTA can reach you if we have questions about the registration.

Friday Dutch Oven Dinner - June 15th
Dutch Oven Dinner and Events at Richfield Lions Park, Saturday, June 15th at 4:00 PM
OSTA’s annual banquet dinner this year will consist of an authentic Dutch Oven Trail period dinner, served at the Lions Park, Richfield. Feast beneath the Utah sky. Watch living history actors,
weaving and mule packing demonstrations.
$10 per person
Friday Concert - June 15th
Merrill Osmond will peform in concert and the Sevier Valley Center at 8 pm. The concert is free with conference registration. Extra tickets are $12.
Saturday Dinner at Frontier Village - June 16th
Dinner at Frontier Village (North Main Street, near exit 40 from the I-70) and
presentation by composers of the Old Spanish Trail symphony, including music. Dinner is $12.
Field Trips - June 14th and June 17th
Field Trip Tours are scheduled for Thursday, June 14th and Sunday, June 17th. Select only one tour per day.
Tours are FREE but sign up is required.
Thursday, June 14th Tours (Choose One).
- Tour 1: Fish Lake Cut-off - (Begins at 10:00 am.)
- Forest archeologist Bob Leonard will lead a tour from Red Creek (also
adjacent Interstate 70) up the adjacent mountain slope to the most dramatic remnants
of the Fish Lake Cut-off, in the form of deep ruts caused by horse
and mule hooves. The hiking is up and down small hills with total hiking about 1.5 miles. This tour will be repeated on Sunday, June 17th.
- Tour will depart from the Sevier Valley Center at 10:00am. Enter the building from the west parking lot and meet in the lobby. Please bring your own lunch and water and sturdy shoes for hiking.
- Tour 2: OST - Green River
(Begins at 8:00 am.)
- The tour led by Col. Al Matheson will cover portions of the Old Spanish Trail north of Green River, Utah through Emery County toward the trail entrance into the mountains and the Fish Lake Cut-off (near Interstate 70).
- Tour Options are: Meet the leader at 8:00 am at Sevier Valley Center, Richfield or join the group at 10:00 am in Green River, Utah at the John Wesley Powell Museum.
Sunday, June 17th Tours (Choose One). Field Trips Begin at 10:00 am.
- Tours 3: Fish Lake Cut-off
- (Begins at 10:00 am.)
- Fishlake NF, archeologist Bob Leonard and historian Wade
Allinson will lead two group from Red Creek (adjacent I-70) up the adjacent mountain

- Tour 4: OST – Central to Parowan - (Begins at 9:00 am.)
- Steven Heath will lead a tour from Central, Sevier County (near Richfield)
along the East Fork of the Sevier River, up the main branch of the Sevier
to
Circleville, Piute County, then through the mountains into the
Parowan-Paragonah
area (on I-15). The total hiking is about 1/2 mile.

Remember to adjust quantities if registering for more than one person and PLEASE ADD THE NAME(S) YOU WANT USED FOR THE CONFERENCE NAME TAG(S) IN THE NOTES SECTION OF YOUR ORDER.
